And so, this blog is now one year old! For those who have been with me since the start, thank you for your support. For those who joined me along the way, I hope you’ve come to anticipate my weekly posts.
As I reflect on my journey into the Civil War – especially this past year – I can’t help but be thankful for the many adventures and experiences. Most of them, I have yet to share with you. I’ve traveled thousands of miles across the country to stand in the place of Union and Confederate soldiers, poured over dozens of research books, and strained my eyes combing the internet. I’ve been some amazing people who share in my love for this particular era of history and hope to make many more as they years roll on.
I’ll continue to bring you posts about battles every week, and will steadily work at posting an extra blog here and there that isn’t part of the running series. While I can’t promise two posts a week, I can definitely promise the effort.
I like to tell people that I may not know everything about the war, but I know just enough to want to know more. There is so much to the Civil War that I don’t think I’ll ever run out of content to post.
So, here’s to another year ahead full of adventures, travels, and learning!
